Two UHP seniors and six recent Honors graduates have been awarded Graduate Research Fellowships by the National Science Foundation. Seniors Megan Schoenzeit (Math and Physics) and Lila Roach (Environmental Engineering) will join ’24 grad Jamison Ward (Earth Sciences) in beginning graduate studies in the fall. ’22 grad Michael Thomas (Math) is enrolled in the PhD program in Mathematics at the University of Minnesota, and ’23 grad Brenna Saladin (Biochemistry and Neuroscience) is a doctoral student in biochemistry at the University of Michigan. Mrinalni Iyer (’24, Chemistry), Jocelyn Ricard (’20, Neuroscience) and Chloe Wick (’23, Chemical Engineering) are all PhD students at Stanford University. Seventeen additional seniors and alumni were recognized for honorable mention and may receive fellowships if funding is available. The NSF fellowship provides three years of financial support for students completing graduate research degrees in mathematics, engineering, and the natural sciences.
