Mia Schwartz, a 2024 Honors graduate who is currently studying at the University of Iceland with a Fulbright award, has received a fellowship to support the second year of her Master's program studies from the Leifur Eiríksson Foundation.
The Leifur Eiríksson Foundation was established in 2001 to fund a graduate fellowship exchange program between Iceland and the United States. Mia is completing studies related to geochemistry and alternative energy resources.
Mia was awarded a Fulbright Study/Research grant to support her Master of Sciece in Geology with a specialization in Renewable Energy - Geochemistry at the University of Iceland (Hí). Her research project focuses on combating climate change from the ground up, focusing on the geochemistry of geothermal systems in Iceland.
