Lafayette Fellowship

They Lafayette Fellowships provides a year of graduate study toward a degree at any of 15 universities in France in any field of study. 30 Scholars are selected each year and participate as a cohort in a variety of cultural, diplomatic, and professional development activities with French leaders and institutions. Scholars receive a monthly stipend as well as tuition and fee waivers and coverage of all costs related to the supplementary activities. Open to graduates of colleges and universities in the United States regardless of citizenship. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.7. Knowledge of French is not required but may be necessary for some academic programs.

This scholarship does not require a nomination from the University of Minnesota. The Office for National and International Scholarships consults with interested students on assembling competitive applications, helps them prepare for interviews or other stages of the selection process as necessary, and publicizes results.
