The Critical Language Scholarship is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State to expand the number of Americans studying and mastering foreign languages that are critical to our national security, economic prosperity, and engagement with the world. The program covers approximately one academic year of university-level language coursework during an eight- to ten-week program either held on-site or virtually where students engage with coursework, language partners, and cultural excursions.
